Thank you to everyone who donated to the renter relief fund and helped us raise $150,000 for Cully residents in need!
It has been two years since the pandemic shut down cities and changed the way we live our daily lives. COVID-19 has hit communities of color and low-income people the hardest. In Cully, some of us have lost friends and family members; many have lost jobs and are struggling with mounting expenses. Back-rent is coming due, food budgets are strained, and bills need to be paid. It is with this in mind that we continue seeking donations to the Cully Neighborhood Renter Relief Fund.
While many Cully residents continue to struggle, others are not only economically stable, but have received extra income through federal stimulus checks and income tax refunds. If this sounds like you, please contribute what you can. The Cully Neighborhood Renter Relief Fund connects the resources of generous donors with the needs of neighbors who have suffered losses.
Since April of 2020 we raised over $150,000, which was distributed directly to over 260 renter households in the Cully community that had been affected by COVID-19. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from the community.
